The sabbath

The love of God is a great and deep subject that will fill the minds of the redeemed for eternal ages to come. Oh, the mystery of redemption! The love of God for a world that did not love Him! A love so complete that God sent His dearly beloved Son, His only begotten Son, into this world of sin, to make an infinite sacrifice, so that we sinners may have life through Him.

Dear reader. Have you really contemplated the love of God? This is a love that cannot be matched. The sacrifice made for us is of so great a value, and yet the majority of the world either reject it, or just take it for granted. Satan has so misrepresented the character of God, that many have a false view of God. But do you realize what was done for you?

The bible said God saint his son to die and be naield to a cross and he had to be a human being forever!Just imagine having to send your child to a place where you knew he or she would be rejected, mocked and beaten. And you had to stand back and watch all of this take place without intervening. Then you had to lay all the sins of those unworthy people upon your child, turn away from your child and allow him to be killed in a most cruel way. That is what God did for you! The creator of the universe could have just simply destroyed everyone, but because of His great love for His creation, He allowed His beloved Son to be afflicted for our sins and take the punishment that we deserve. And Christ agreed to make this sacrifice for us. What love!

God could just wipe out anyone who disobayed his laws, but he dident in fact he gives us loads of chances. Even when you feel like you can't be forgiven God has all ready forgiven us!

But this doesn't just stop at the cross, no! Do you realize that the sacrifice made was not just a temporary sacrifice, but an eternal one? The majority of people just focus on Jesus being in the tomb for 3 days and think that this was the sacrifice made. But no, there was an even greater sacrifice made by the Son of God for us. Just think about this for a moment. What was Christ before He came to earth? He was 100 percent, pure divinity. He was fully and completely divine. So when Christ came to earth, He gave up His first estate as a purely divine being, and became a human. But did Christ just become a human for 33 years? No, look at what Christ said after His resurrection:

"By transgression man had separated himself from Him who alone is light and love. The sinner was 'alienated from the life of God,' 'dead in trespasses and sins.' The only hope for the fallen race was found in their becoming reconciled to God. Satan had so misrepresented God that man had no true conception of the divine character. But in carrying out the plan of salvation, Christ revealed that 'GOD IS LOVE'. (E.White, Bible Echo, Aug.1, 1892)

WHAT IS THE SABBATH?

God is our creator, he put one day (one special day) for us to rest and worship him. The seventh day-Saturday. we should keep this day. The sabbath is a gift from God so wecan rest and it is also a day to worship God.By keeping the seventh day we are keeping Gods law. You keep the sabbath day by spending time with God and enjoying his creation. We sould not work on the sabbath because that is breaking Gods law.For the sabbath you should prepare your food on the day before so you do not  need to work on the sabbath or you could have something simple, like a wrap crisps and some snaky things.
On the sabbath we should worship God  through studies, prayers and felowship you dont have to go to church on sabbath. The bible says if two or three gather together in my name there I am with them.

Saturday is the sabbath what does sabbath
mean in all the other languages?
Have a look.

On the sabbath it is important to only do bible things because, the sabbath was the day God rested so we should rest from all worldy things. The Sabbath is also a sign that our Heavenly Father and His Son are everything to us and that we acknowledge the Word of God as supreme over all other. While the world follows after the commandments and traditions of men, keeping the 1st day (Sunday) as the Sabbath, of which there is no scriptural authority, God's remnant people follow the LORD alone, and the Sabbath is a sign of this relationship between God and His people.

The Sabbath day is a controversial subject in the Christian world today. But this is nothing new, as the Sabbath controversy has been raging for thousands of years. The 'Great Controversy' between Christ and Satan has been a long battle, and what has this battle been over? Worship! Satan wants the worship and adoration that only belongs to God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son. And while he is happy that the majority of the world is entertained by sin, he hates seeing Christians worshiping God alone and keeping the law of His universal government.

The seventh day Sabbath is a sign. It is a sign of what God is to us. The Sabbath is a sign that we worship the creator of heaven and earth. It is a day that points us to creation and the one true God of the universe.

The 7th day Sabbath is a sign of God's completed work in us through Christ. It means that we have completely surrendered our lives to Christ and have been 'sanctified by the truth' (John 17:17) and the faith of Jesus (Rev.14:12) is being lived out in our lives (Galatians 2:20). This is what Revelation 14 is all about - the seal of God verses the mark of the beast. Revelation 14:1-5 says that those who receive the seal (the 'Father's name') are those who 'follow Christ wheresoever He goeth.' Those who receive the mark follow man and his traditions. And the law of God stands as a 'WITNESS' FOR those who have truly been sanctified in Christ, with the Sabbath being that 'sign' of a life that has been surrendered to God and His completed work in that person through Christ. But the law will 'witness' AGAINST those who follow man instead of Christ.

Exodus 31:13-17 ...'Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you ... Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord ... Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.'

The final call is going out to the world (Revelation 14:6-12) to turn back to the one true God and to worship Him who made heaven and earth - the one who set aside and blessed a specific day for us to keep holy, the 7th day (our Saturday). But Satan wants to keep the world bound up in the 'traditions of men' (Matthew 15:3), and ultimately cause the world to worship him, instead of Jehovah.

This is a vital issue friend, and I pray that you will allow the Lord to teach you His truth as you search through this website. Do not be influenced by man, or even us. But compare what you read with scripture and let the Spirit of God show the way. May you be richly blessed as you allow God to lead you in the truth.
